The Charter Group is pleased to announce the sale of Omega Construction Company (Omega) to Grand Rapids, MI based Sunset Industries, Inc. Founded in the late 1940s, the Grandville, Michigan based Company, is a General Contractor and Construction Manager for multi-family residential and commercial projects throughout West Michigan.  Originally involved in large commercial projects, the Company served as one of the largest contractors on the Mackinaw Bridge.  Over the past 60 years, the Company has undertaken a number of projects ranging from commercial buildings to public works facilities.  In recent years, the focus has been on multi-family residential projects along the Western Michigan shoreline. Based on its historical performance and secured projects through 2007, Omega is positioned well for growth.  Both former and new ownership remain optimistic about the housing market and Omega’s continued ability to grow its construction operations in the Western Michigan marketplace. The Charter Group served as exclusive M&A advisor to the ownership of Omega Construction Company, Inc. throughout the transaction.
